Yosemite is simply wonderful and beautiful.  We drove from Reno, NV to Yosemite by entering the park from the western side by driving from Lee Vining, CA to Yosemite on Highway 120.  Debbie and I have already decided that we want to make another trip to enjoy the sights along highway 120 - the first time we visited, we rushed by and didn't stop for anything.  Half Dome was a sight to see ( 5th pic ) and staying at the lodge in the valley was well worth the price. Things are a little expensive but there is nothing else for miles so you might as well spend and enjoy.  The scenery is breath taking and we took hundreds of photo's - We will visit this place again soon.  While in Reno, we drove the lake road around Lake Tahoe - that is another 2 or 3 hour trip everyone ought to make in their life time.  The first pic is Emerald Bay State Park where thousands of photo's are made each day.  Yosemite is 160 miles from Reno, 160 miles from San Francisco, and about 300 miles from Los Angles. We visited the redwood forest on this trip and the giant trees are another wonder of nature worth setting your sights on.  We also visited Kings Canyon and stayed a couple of nights there - great hiking.  We really enjoyed our vacation in the central California mountains.
