Oct 2004 Natches Trace Parkway Trip Debbie and Melvin visited Tupelo, Mississippi on a Friday night. After checking in at the motel, we ate and drove to see a local high school football game. The next day we visited the old home place of Elvis Presley - a small nearly two room house. We did walk through it and see the meager furnishings. We then drove 60 miles north along the Natchez Trace - a very beautiful slow winding two lane highway from Tupelo to Nashville - a 150 mile parkway. The scenery along the way made up of several views of the original trace and animals. One of the most impressive and spectacular sights was the bridge ( last pic ). This is a great weekend adventure especially if done in the fall when the leaves change. |
