afternoon May 27th, 2006. As of Tuesday, May 30th, he was resting in
stable condition at CCU ( Gadsden Regional Hospital - 3rd floor ) with
about 15% of his heart functioning properly. Randy Pruett called
after visiting him on Tuesday to inform us of his condition. Our best wishes and prayers go
out to Allegra.
I had flowers sent for the Class of 1964. They were all green and
white with a ribbon indicating "Hokes Bluff High School - Class of
1964." Several folks commented on how thoughtful and nice the
arrangement was. James had a mild heart attack a week before the
Saturday attack but did nothing about it. His brother said that he
felt like he would be OK without going to a doctor. While
Allegra and I were viewing James, she made the comment that she felt like
it all was a dream and that any second he would rise up and ask "what
are all these folks doing here?" She said that he had
many times talked about the class reunion and how well he enjoyed meeting
everyone again.
